Summer Camp FAQs

We look forward to your player joining us for our summer tennis camp! The following are common questions regarding camp.

Strand Tennis Camp Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Is your camp indoors or outdoors? The Strand Tennis Camp is 100% indoors. We have 5 hard tennis courts.

  2. What should my junior player bring to camp with them each day? Players should wear athletic clothes and sneakers, bring a tennis racket, snack and water bottle. There is a vending machine in the lobby with snacks and beverages (water, Gatorate, etc.) should your player need a snack, but they must provide payment.

  3. My player doesn’t have a tennis racket. What should we do? Players can borrow tennis rackets for camp free of charge. If you would like to purchase a racket, we can help you find the right racket size. We have plenty of rackets on-site for you to purchase.

  4. Are the private lesson add-ons just for one day or for every day of camp registration? Private lesson add-ons can be for as many days as you’d like, whether one day a week or every weekday with camp registration. The rate is $105/hour.

  5. My player is new to tennis, would this camp be well suited for them? For ages 4 - 12 years old, the camp is designed for all levels. For ages 13 - 18, please contact the front desk.

  6. My player isn’t interested in rock climbing on Wednesdays with Gravity Vault. Is that okay? What will they do instead? Players in our 4 - 12-year-old camp will have the opportunity to rock climb on Wednesdays at Gravity Vault, whose building is adjacent to Strand Tennis. This activity is optional for players. If players decide to not rock climb, they will either continue playing tennis or play pickleball.

  7. What is your cancellation policy? Switching camp registrations is doable and subject to availability, please email us (talk2us@strandtc.com) to do so. Changes can be made up to 7 days before the registered week of camp. Camp registration is non-refundable.
