Summer Camp FAQs

Strand Tennis Camp

Frequently Asked Questions

We look forward to your player joining us for our summer tennis camp! The following are common questions regarding camp.

  • The Strand Tennis Camp is 100% indoors. We have 5 hard tennis courts.

  • Players should wear athletic clothes and sneakers, bring a tennis racket, snack and water bottle. There is a vending machine in the lobby with snacks and beverages (water, Gatorade, etc.) should your player need a snack, but they must provide payment.

  • Players can borrow tennis racquet for camp free of charge. If you would like to purchase a racquet, we can help you find the right racquet size. We have plenty of racquets on-site for you to purchase.

  • Private lesson add-ons can be for as many days as you’d like, whether one day a week or every weekday with camp registration. The rate is $105/hour.

  • For ages 4 - 12 years old, the camp is designed for beginner and advanced-beginner levels. For ages 13 - 18, the camps are designed for JV and varsity level players, so we suggest that beginners in this age bracket learn in private lessons or in the beginner clinics offered on weekends.

  • Players in our 4 - 12-year-old camp will have the opportunity to rock climb on Wednesdays at Gravity Vault, located in the same building as Strand Tennis. This activity is optional. If your child decide to not rock climb, they will either play tennis, pickleball, or ping-pong.

  • Switching camp registrations is doable but subject to availability, please email us (talk2us@strandtc.com) to do so. Changes can be made up to 7 days before the registered week of camp. Camp registration is non-refundable, but credits can be issued for cancellations with at least 14 days’ notice.
